This was a war fought for religious reasons as the Liascent Empire believed in a singular deity of nature known as the roots, Old Menagrove had a more druidic approach, believing in the collective power of different spirits of nature. The main battlegrounds of this conflict took place where Rodinshire is now as well as the bay that exists between where Mendir and Liascent are now.

The war culminated in two events; The destruction of the Old Menagrove Capital which led to those stationed there retreating to Mendir. As well as the Serpents Rebellion, which led to Basbir breaking away from The Liascent Empire and becoming its own country.

Old Menagrove was one of the two largest powers on Rothera that existed where Menagrove and the Rodin Territories are today. The Culture of Old Menagrove focused on the population connection and relationships to the numerous spirits of nature that exist on Rothera.

The Old Menagrove Capital was destroyed in the Rootstock War, due to this many of their territories were rolled back.

The Liascent Empire Was One of the two largest powers in Rothera encompassing the Giants Cut as well as the Cerulian Strait. This was until the Rootstock War in combination with the Serpents Rebellion that led to the empire collapsing and being reduced to only its territory in the giants cut.
